Job summary

Cinemark USA, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run the theatre operations and ensure policies and standards are met.

This role is cross-trained across departments and supports the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest service. Successful candidates will complete Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program and advance toward Senior Assistant Manager or Theatre Manager after six months of demonstrated performance.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or GED preferred or required
• Complete Cinemark Management Accreditation Program (Foundation, Certifications, MAP Core)
• Complete basic food handling training and any local/state certifications or permits
• Safe Alcohol Service training if handling alcohol
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays
• Regular attendance and reliable schedule
• Energetic, friendly attitude and excellent guest service
• Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
• Strong communication with all ages and teams; English proficiency
• Ability to work in a team and follow directions, with a sense of urgency
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Ability to train and lead others; conflict resolution skills

Responsibilities

• Follows direction of the General Manager and supports staff communications
• Works in all departments and cross-trains to cover theatre functions
• Trains and coaches Team Members in their job duties
• Assists in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager
• Inspects theatre, parking, landscaping, building, and equipment; reports repairs
• Ensures dress code compliance and guest service excellence
• Maintains safety and security considerations; uses PPE as required
• Addresses employee relations issues per policy and reporting protocols
• Maintains high work ethic and code of conduct among management
• Identifies and sanitizes high-contact areas and guests’ needs
