Job summary

Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved, and they are cross trained in all departments to support where needed and to provide inspirational training to all Employees.

The Assistant Manager role can advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after finishing Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program and six months of service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program basics.
• Basic food handling training and any required local/state permits.
• Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Excellent guest service and cash handling skills.
• Strong English communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow the direction of the General Manager.
• Support GM decisions in staff communication.
• Work in all departments and theatre functions.
• Train and coach Team Members in their specific roles.
• Prepare administrative and special reports for the GM.
• Inspect theatre facilities and report repairs as needed.
• Ensure team adherence to dress code and policies.
• Interact with Guests to deliver superior service.
• Enforce Cinemark guidelines with consistency.
• Report employee relations issues to the GM.
• Maintain high work ethic and code of conduct.
• Identify and sanitize high-contact areas; use PPE.
• Adhere to cleaning frequency and scope; address safety issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
