Job summary

Cinemark seeks an Assistant Manager to support theatre operations and ensure policy adherence across departments. The role offers cross-training and a clear progression track to Senior Assistant Manager or Theatre/General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and six months of service.

The position requires a customer‑oriented leader with strong communication, training, and reporting skills, ready to manage shifts and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Complete Cinemark's Management Accreditation Program courses.
• Complete basic food handling training and obtain local/state certification where required.
• Management staff working with alcohol must complete Safe Alcohol Service training.
• Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Energetic and friendly attitude on every shift.
• Provides excellent guest service and communicates effectively.
• Cash handling accuracy and basic math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to take and follow direction, shows urgency.
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to train and lead others; resolve conflicts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follows General Manager direction and supports staff communications.
• Works in all departments; covers theatre job functions as needed.
• Trains and coaches team members in their roles.
• Assists in preparing reports for the General Manager.
• Oversees theatre building, parking, landscaping and equipment condition.
• Reports repairs needs to General Manager; ensures safety compliance.
• Ensures dress code adherence and delivers superior guest service.
• Enforces Cinemark guidelines with consistency.
• Reports employee relations issues via the proper channels.
• Maintains high work ethic and conduct standards.
• Identifies and sanitizes high-contact areas; uses PPE properly.
• Adapts to cleaning tasks and safety procedures;
• Addresses safety or security concerns promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
