Job summary

Cinemark's Assistant Manager role concentrates on the theatre's smooth operation, staff training, and delivering outstanding guest service. You will support the General Manager, work across all departments, and help maintain safety and standards while coaching team members to excel in their roles.

The role offers a pathway to Senior Assistant Manager and Theatre Manager after completing Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program and serving for at least six months, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
• Completion of Cinemark Management Accreditation Program courses.
• Completes basic food handling training and any local/state certifications.
• Safe Alcohol Service training for managers handling alcohol.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Regular and consistent attendance required.
• Energetic, friendly attitude during shifts with excellent guest service.
• Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Follows the direction of the General Manager.
• Supports GM decisions in staff communication.
• Works in all departments and theatre functions.
• Trains and coaches Team Members in job functions.
• Prepares administrative and reports for the General Manager.
• Inspects theatre building, parking, landscaping, and equipment.
• Reports needs for repairs to the General Manager.
• Ensures dress code compliance by Team Members.
• Interacts with Guests to ensure superior customer service.
• Enforces Cinemark guidelines with fairness and consistency.
• Reports Employee relations issues as required.
• Maintains high work ethic and code of conduct.
• Identifies and sanitizes high-contact areas for staff and guests.
• Utilizes PPE appropriately for tasks and safety.
