Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the Royal Canin brand. This field-based role requires living within the territory and traveling ~20-30%+ to clinics.

You will translate product knowledge into business growth, develop territory plans, and build relationships with clinic decision-makers to drive sales and brand impact. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of sales (B2B preferred), and veterinary clinic experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with BU & organization to meet stakeholders’ needs across accounts and teams.
• Build partnerships and work with others to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary BU sales strategy.
• Work in a cross-functional team-based environment in a fluid, complex environment.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Manage expense and sales budget; complete CRM/call reports and expense reports timely.
