Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the Fountain Valley, CA area. The role focuses on executing Vet BU strategy, growing clinic relationships, and meeting territory KPIs while traveling 20–30%.

The ideal candidate has sales experience (2+ years), veterinary clinic exposure, strong communication and presentation skills, and a valid driver’s license. Field-based role requiring residence within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills.
• Driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, approx. 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of our products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address Veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with BU and organization; balance stakeholder needs across teams.
• Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Work in cross-functional, dynamic environments; adapt to changes.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies.
• Budget and reporting: manage expenses and complete CRM/expense reports promptly.
