Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the Fort Wayne, IN area. This field-based role requires living within the territory and entails delivering its Vet BU strategy, achieving clinic-focused sales goals, and expanding clinic access through data-driven opportunities.

Responsibilities include building relationships with clinic decision-makers, delivering compelling presentations, and collaborating across BU and internal teams to maximize territory performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, approximately 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and grow clinics within geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within geography.
• Deliver data-driven presentations addressing the needs of Veterinary staff.
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives.
• Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared goals.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Work in cross-functional teams in fluid, changing environments.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Manage expenses and sales budgets; complete CRM and expense reports on time.
