Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager to execute the Vet BU strategy, grow clinic access, and drive KPIs in a field-based, individual-contributor role.

You will translate product and clinic data into opportunities, build territory business plans, develop relationships with clinic decision-makers, and deliver data-driven presentations while collaborating across the BU and organization. Travel ~20-30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of our products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and grow clinics within assigned geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address the unique needs of the Veterinary staff.
• Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the BU & organization; balance needs of multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Work in a cross-functional team-based environment and adapt to fluid, complex environments.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Budget and reporting: manage expenses and sales budget; complete CRM call reports and expense reports timely.
