Job summary

R.W. Mercer Co. is a family-owned construction and service company serving Indiana and Ohio. The Sales Representative will expand our Indiana territory, manage accounts, and build customer relationships to maximize satisfaction and revenue.

The role requires a proven outside sales background, strong communication skills, and experience with CRM systems. Base compensation plus annual bonus and full health benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of outside sales experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a digital environment and use CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Sell the company's products and services to current customers and new prospects.
• Build a qualified pipeline of new business opportunities in the assigned territory.
• Plan and conduct sales presentations to prospective customers.
• Collaborate with team members to develop strong business leads and sales opportunities.
• Maintain customer account activity and communications in the CRM system, and complete required reports weekly.
• Gather information to complete accurate scopes of work including project checklists, photos and drawings with dimensions.
• Attend pre-construction meetings with Project Managers to review scopes, materials, bids, and scheduling.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure quotes are accurate and submitted timely.
• Address scheduling, change orders, and other job-related issues with Project Managers from award to completion.
• Keep customers informed of project progress and support collection of balances.
• Maintain professional knowledge by training and workshops.
