Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a District Sales Manager to support and grow the Virginia, Maryland, & Delaware territory, driving revenue for metal roofing and wall panel solutions with established customer relationships.

You will own a ~$3M territory, develop partnerships with distributors and lumber yards, and balance new opportunities with existing business while collaborating with operations, estimating and customer support to win in a fast-paced market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience within building materials, metal roofing, construction products, or adjacent industries highly preferred.
• Understanding of dealer/distribution sales channels highly preferred.
• Experience with estimating, project management, inside sales, or customer-facing construction support roles valued.
• Strong relationship-building skills with a commitment to consistent customer follow-up.
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple opportunities, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Own & Grow Your Territory: Manage a well-established ~$3M territory while identifying opportunities to expand customer relationships and increase market share.
• Develop Customer Partnerships: Work closely with distributors, one-step dealers, and independent lumber yards to support their business needs.
• Drive Sales Growth: Balance maintaining current business with proactive prospecting and new opportunity development.
• Sell Industry-Leading Products: Represent metal roofing, wall panel systems, trims, and accessory products across residential, agricultural, and commercial markets.
• Support Product Training & Pull-Through Sales: Conduct customer education and contractor training programs while supporting contractor pull-through initiatives.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Build strong partnerships with operations, branch leadership, estimating, and customer support teams.
• Provide Responsive Customer Support: Manage a high volume of customer interactions and transactions in a fast-paced environment.
