Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking an Outside Food Sales Representative to cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions. This role is based in Fort Wayne, IN, and involves visiting customers regularly, researching market trends, and presenting tailored sales strategies.

Training during the first 90 days focuses on using Gordon Food Service systems, understanding products, and mastering the sales process to build durable customer relationships across the territory.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain your food safety certification.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pursuing new customers in the territory.
• Researching industry and market trends affecting restaurants in the territory.
• Identify and research prospective customers within the territory.
• Present sales strategy and offerings to prospective customers.
• Deepen and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
