Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking an Outside Food Sales Representative to manage sales and relationships within a designated territory, based in Denver, CO. You will cultivate new business, research trends, and present solutions from Gordon Food Service to prospective customers.

The role emphasizes serving customers through training, strategic planning, and proactive outreach, with a focus on growing existing accounts and expanding the customer base.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or culinary certificate preferred.
• 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Pursuing new customers in the assigned territory.
• Researching industry and market trends impacting restaurants in your territory.
• Identifying and researching prospective customers within your territory.
• Developing sales strategies and presenting them to prospective customers.
• Deepening and strengthening relationships with existing customers.
• Visiting customers weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
• Conducting business reviews to identify opportunities for growth.
• Providing ongoing training to customers on Gordon Food Service products.
• Identifying opportunities to add value through products and services.
