Job summary

Wausau Tile seeks an experienced Outside Sales Representative to manage the Northern California and Reno territory. You will build relationships with architects, contractors, and designers to grow revenue across our product lines.

In this 1099 contractor role, you will represent all divisions and travel within the territory, staying aligned with customer needs and delivering tailored solutions while maintaining a strong pipeline through Salesforce.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of outside sales in building/construction materials.
• 5+ years in construction-related products or services.
• Travel daily within territory; may include overnight stays.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales revenue by acquiring new accounts and expanding relationships
• Represent Wausau Tile’s full product portfolio to architects, landscape architects, general contractors, installers, and subcontractors
• Generate qualified leads and build a strong pipeline
• Understand client needs and present tailored product solutions
• Manage proposals, negotiations, and order logistics from start to finish
• Provide excellent post-sale support and ensure customer satisfaction
• Use Salesforce to track opportunities, manage the sales funnel, and report activity
• Stay informed on competitor activity, market trends, and new product opportunities
• Educate clients on product updates and technical specs
• Assist in payment collection if needed
