Job summary

Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company in Nashville seeks an Associate Territory Manager to support growth across assigned markets. You will work with Territory Managers to recruit, develop, and coach sales managers and agents, while helping execute the business plan and expand the territory.

This role requires proven sales leadership, ability to recruit independent contractors, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Proven success in a similar role with Colonial Life or a comparable company.
Experience prospecting for and closing direct voluntary sales.
Licensed to solicit insurance or ability to obtain license in territory within 45 days.
Recruiting of independent contractors and management experience.
Strong leadership, strategic planning and public speaking skills.
Willingness to travel extensively based on territory needs.

Responsibilities

Aid Territory Manager in developing and executing the business plan for the assigned territory.
Recruit and develop new sales managers within the territory.
Assist in overall development of the Territory and recruit/develop new sales reps and managers.
Develop an overall territory sales and development strategy for the area or sub-set.
Coach District Managers to attain goals and review results as prescribed.
Create marketing approaches to grow the territory and enhance leaders' sales opportunities.
Commit to professional growth through Colonial Life College and other training.
Direct sales results including cultivating prospecting culture within the territory.
Manage the Sales Office including staff and budget.
May perform other duties as assigned.
