Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Territory Manager to oversee a large network of agency storefronts and drive profitable growth across territories. You will collaborate with underwriting, product management, and claims teams to optimize book performance, agency partnerships, and market strategy.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with travel up to 25% and a focus on long-term profitability and growth across Personal Lines or Business Lines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum three+ years of insurance experience within a carrier or agency.
• Knowledge of insurance products, services, marketing techniques/principles and industry trends.
• Exposure to revenue growth and sales success in a prior role.
• Proven ability to develop partnerships and problem-solve.

Responsibilities

• Owns and manages assigned territory driving profitable growth to achieve financial and operational targets.
• Leads territory and agency management processes across multiple territories (e.g., agency prospecting, business planning, engagement, training, compensation, plant optimization).
• Establishes position as a trusted advisor while delivering product, underwriting philosophy and training to increase agency revenue.
• Uses agency analysis and market insights to create agency strategies for growth and profitability.
• Drives new business flow and manages risk across the territory.
• Collaborates with underwriting/product management/claims to capitalize on opportunities.
