Job summary

Dinges Fire Company seeks a results-driven sales professional to plan and carry out activities on assigned accounts in the fire service market. The role emphasizes relationship building with Fire and EMT decision-makers, presenting products, negotiating terms, and closing commissions.

Many reps are firefighters themselves, which helps knowledge and credibility. All salespersons are 1099 contractors with commission-based pay and ~40% gross profit per sale; full-time or strong second income;

Qualifications

• Experience with fire service equipment and tools.
• Familiarity with basic computer applications.
• Strong customer service principles.
• Understanding of basic business principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Schedule sales activity.
• Make sales calls to new and existing customers.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Negotiate with clients.
• Develop sales proposals.
• Respond to sales inquiries by phone, email or in person.
• Ensure customer service satisfaction and maintain client relationships.
• Follow up on sales activity.
• Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management.
• Participate in sales events and training.
