Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, seeks an Outside Sales Rep to be the voice of the company, building relationships and turning opportunities into loyal customers.

You will maximize revenue in a defined territory, manage existing accounts and prospect new ones, presenting our products to clients while collaborating with division specialists to cross-sell and expand opportunities. Base salary plus commissions supports ongoing success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of sales experience.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong planning, problem solving and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of construction equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and subsidiaries.
• Prospect and qualify new accounts, including competitors.
• Collaborate with division reps to promote cross selling.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Use CRM tools to build a pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors and market conditions.
