Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Outside Sales Rep. You will be the voice and first contact for customers, building relationships and selling equipment and services across a defined territory in the United States.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years of sales experience, and strong communication and negotiation skills. A valid driver's license is required and a base plus commission compensation plan is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of sales experience.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and subsidiaries.
• Prospect and qualify new accounts from existing, dormant, or non-customer accounts.
• Collaborate with specialty division reps to promote cross-selling.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and present company products and services to current and potential clients.
• Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to build a pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
• Perform other duties as needed.
