Job summary

Vestis Corporation is seeking a Customer Service Manager to oversee an assigned service territory, supervise route representatives, and drive customer retention and revenue growth across North America. The role emphasizes safety, leadership, and operational excellence in servicing a diverse client base.

The position requires regular travel with service professionals, coordination of AR collections, and active participation in training to meet service goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Two years of service and route-based industry experience with a track record of growing customer accounts.
• Previous profit and loss accountability or contract-managed service experience preferred.
• Significant customer interface and service experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sustain a safety culture.
• Coach and develop Route Sales Representatives (RSRs) in the territory.
• Report to Service Manager or Sr. Territory Manager; escalate to General Manager as needed.
• Foster a pervasive sales culture via TIG and Shared Lead programs.
• Assist in new account installations as directed; manage daily customer service activities in the territory.
• Visit required customers quarterly to review growth and service opportunities.
• Ensure RSRs respond to and resolve service requests timely; set clear expectations and lead by example.
• Allocate 60% of time to travel with service professionals performing observations and visits.
• Follow up on at-risk accounts and resolve service concerns quickly.
• Negotiate renewal agreements to protect pricing and profitability.
• Recruit, select, and hire Route Sales staff; conduct weekly in-person reviews with RSRs.
• Deliver training to ensure customer retention and service goals are met; maintain ongoing contact with RSRs.
