Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking a full-time Sales Consultant to grow market share across a defined Minnesota territory. You will cultivate new customers, develop solutions, and guide projects from pre‑sale to completion, coordinating internal teams and subcontractors as needed.

With 70% emphasis on pre‑sale activities and 30% on post‑sale management, the role rewards strong organization and relationship-building. Training is provided, along with a company car, laptop, and cell phone.

Qualifications

• 2 years sales or account management experience preferred OR 5 years of construction management experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, construction, or project management preferred.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of maintaining an accurate sales pipeline in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Minimal overnight travel required beyond initial training and onboarding period.
• Must reside within 30 miles of assigned territory within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 70% of the role focuses on pre‑sale responsibilities: prospecting, lead generation, customer presentations, solution development, and guiding customers early in the buying process.
• Remaining 30% centers on post‑sale project management, coordinating details, communicating with internal teams, and supporting the build through to completion.
• Coordinate all individuals involved in the building project and navigate permitting requirements.
• Develop and maintain an adequate sales funnel to sell at or above established sales budgets.
