Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking self-driven Sales Consultants to grow market share in an assigned geographic territory, nurturing new and long-standing customer relationships. The role blends pre-sale prospecting and post-sale project coordination to ensure a seamless building experience.

Starting pay ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 annually and includes base salary, training subsidy, and commissions. Travel is minimal beyond onboarding; relocation not required.

Qualifications

• 2 years sales or account management experience preferred or 5 years of construction management experience
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, construction, or project management preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to maintain an accurate sales pipeline in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Minimal overnight travel beyond initial training and onboarding period
• Ability to develop and maintain a sales funnel to sell at or above established sales budgets
• Aptitude to grow existing market share and be available during construction-related work hours
• Coordinate all individuals involved in the building project including MBI personnel, hire and manage subcontractors, and navigate permitting requirements
• Maintain customer confidentiality
• Excellent verbal and written communication along with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
• Must reside within 30 miles of assigned territory within 30 days of hire date

Responsibilities

• Prospect, generate leads, present to customers, develop solutions, and guide customers through early stages of the buying process (approximately 70%)
• Post-sale project management: coordinate project details, communicate with internal teams, and support the build through to completion (approximately 30%)
• Partner with customers to deliver a high-quality building on schedule and within budget
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and CRM records to manage opportunities and follow-ups
