Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Market Development Representative to drive growth in an assigned territory. You will partner with off-premise locations to expand distribution, boost volume, and build strong customer relationships.

The role requires 1+ year of field sales, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Candidates should live in or near the territory and be adept at using sales analytics tools to achieve targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional field sales experience in alcohol-beverage or CPG industries.
• New college graduates are encouraged to have a sales/marketing internship or related sales role.
• Proven volume achievements and ability to deliver on distribution and retail promotional goals.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Live in or near the territory.
• Ability to personally cover ordinary business expenses.
• Required to obtain a solicitor’s permit in any state.

Responsibilities

• Craft solutions to boost business for assigned accounts and grow brand share.
• Build brands using consumer and category trends to educate customers.
• Lead distributors with in-store selling, marketing, and account execution.
• Help achieve volume objectives for core brands in the portfolio.
• Implement programs for distribution, merchandising, display, and promotions.
• Develop mutually valuable rapport with assigned customers and understand their needs.
• Serve as the communications lead between customers, wholesalers, and internal teams.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure goals are met.
