Job summary

Dinges Fire Company is seeking part-time sales contractors to plan and carry out sales activities in designated areas. You will build relationships with Fire and EMT decision-makers, schedule activity, and present products and services to clients.

Compensation is commission-based, with ~40% of gross profit per sale and independent contractor status. Most reps are firefighters by choice, leveraging their knowledge to sell fire service equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fire service equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.
• Knowledge of basic business principles.

Responsibilities

• prepare sales action plans and strategies
• schedule sales activity
• make sales calls to new and existing customers
• develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
• negotiation with clients
• develop sales proposals
• respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
• ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
• follow up on sales activity
• monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
• participate in sales events and training
