Job summary

Course, an engineering services company, seeks an experienced account manager to drive sales of our electrical and engineering services in the Fort Wayne area. You will perform direct sales and business development to grow and retain business and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities include managing customer relationships, coordinating with engineering teams, and forecasting future revenue while traveling up to 20% to meet clients and close deals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Outside B2B technical sales experience in engineering, electrical, industrial or heavy commercial industries.
• Self-directed and highly motivated.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with understanding of profitability and financial metrics.
• Sales skills including negotiation and ability to interact with decision makers and prospect new customers.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge/acumen and consultative skills.
• Overnight travel required 20% of the time.

We are an engineering services company and currently number one in our industry. We are growing and looking to add to our team. The primary role of this position will be to provide account management/sales targeting to sell our full line of electrical related and other engineering services. You will perform direct sales and business development activities which contribute to the growth and retention of business to meet or exceed targeted sales goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Successful outside B2B technical sales experience, preferably in an engineering (electrical), industrial or heavy commercial industry.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and highly motivated.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, written and oral presentation skills and solid understanding of profitability and other financial measurements.
• Strong sales skills including and effective negotiation skills, ability to successfully interact with key customer decision makers and influencers, and ability to prospect new customers and forecast future business.
• Must be able to demonstrate technical knowledge/acumen and consultative skills.
• Required overnight travel 20% of the time.
• Basic computer skills with the following software: Excel, Word, Adobe, Microsoft Outlook.
