Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an outside salesperson to expand a regional territory and drive growth by building deep relationships with existing customers and opening new business. You will collaborate with an experienced inside sales team to learn product applications, diagnose customer needs, and recommend solutions.

You will conduct quotes, proposals, and negotiations to close sales while maintaining high levels of customer service and retention.

Qualifications

6 months+ knowledge of fluid power components, systems, & applications and/or 1+ year industrial sales experience.
Basic computer skills and ability to use business tools for quotes, orders, and reports.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

Build a territory and grow earnings by developing repeat relationships in existing accounts and opening new business.
Use consultative selling to learn customer applications and analyze needs.
Achieve sales and profit goals by developing customers, opening new business, and retaining clients.
Prepare quotes and proposals, negotiate terms, and close transactions.
Organize training sessions for customers and monitor market conditions and reports.
