Qualifications

• Must possess strong communication and writing skills to interface with customers and management.
• Self-starting, able to work with minimal supervision and execute tasks at a high level.
• Knowledge of transportation industry, logistics, and supply chain, preferably in the Houston market.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and execution of the dispatch plan with the team of dispatchers and schedulers.
• Set priorities for dispatchers throughout the day.
• Collaborate with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service, Sales to support drivers and customers.
• Manage driver cost and productivity.
• Understand and apply the GWI dispatch process to dispatch as needed.
• Oversee volumes, capacity, KPI tracking, yards, and driver needs to ensure partnerships.
