Job summary

Gulf Winds International Inc. is seeking a Terminal Manager to oversee the Houston terminal operations, including dispatch oversight, driver retention, and daily scheduling execution.

You will work with dispatchers, schedulers, and cross-functional teams to optimize performance and profitability. The role requires strong communication, extensive transportation operations knowledge, and a proven ability to lead and develop a transportation team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong communication & writing skills to interface with internal/external customers and various management levels.
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and execute tasks at a high level.
• Knowledge of transportation industry, logistics and supply chain, preferably in Houston market.
• Strong understanding of margins and driver pay.
• Excellent organizational skills and experience with owner-operator model.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day operations and execution of plan with dispatchers and schedulers.
• Set priorities for dispatchers throughout the day.
• Collaborate with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service, and Sales to serve drivers and customers.
• Manage driver cost and productivity and oversee dispatch processes.
• Oversee volumes, workloads, capacity, KPI alignment, yards, and driver needs to ensure partner success.
• Track assets and communicate needs to M&R and management.
• Resolve conflicts between contractors and dispatch within policy.
