Job summary

Gulf Winds International Inc. is seeking a dedicated Terminal Manager to oversee the Houston terminal operations, including dispatch, scheduling, driver retention, and cost controls. The role reports to the VP of Drayage Operations and requires coordinating with Safety, Recruitment, Customer Service and Sales.

The position emphasizes operational excellence, profitability, and strong leadership to manage a fleet of independent contractors and company drivers across all markets.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong communication & writing skills to interface with customers and internal teams.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of transportation industry, logistics and supply chain, preferably in Houston market.
• Strong understanding of margins and driver pay.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and execution of the dispatch plan with the team of dispatchers and schedulers.
• Set daily priorities for dispatchers and coordinate with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service and Sales.
• Manage P&L, costs and margins to increase terminal profitability.
