Qualifications

• 5 years of transportation experience.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Knowledge of transportation industry and logistics.
• Understanding of margins and driver pay.
• Ability to motivate, train, hire, lead and evaluate a team.
• Familiar with owner-operator model.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day dispatch operations and planning with dispatchers and schedulers.
• Set daily priorities for dispatchers.
• Collaborate with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service, Sales to support drivers and customers.
• Manage driver cost, productivity, and P&L with a focus on profitability.
• Ensure compliance with scheduling, KPI tracking, and asset management.
• Communicate freight needs to scheduling group and senior management.
