Job summary

Quantix SCS LLC is seeking a Terminal Manager to direct and coordinate terminal operations, shipping, receiving, and maintenance, ensuring cost-effective, timely, high-quality service for customers in Houston.

You will recruit, train, and supervise drivers and staff, enforce safety and compliance with DOT/OSHA guidelines, manage budgets, and implement training programs while maintaining records and optimizing productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Management or related field, or 4+ years of equivalent experience in the Transportation/Distribution industry.
• Working knowledge of truckload transportation operations.
• Ability to supervise and discipline personnel with proper documentation.
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to interact tactfully with diverse personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of mechanical operations and maintenance of revenue equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily shipping, receiving, maintenance, and other operations.
• Recruit, train, and manage drivers and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement training programs for staff.
• Control terminal expenses within budget.
• Respond to customer complaints and promote quality service.
• Oversee scheduling and workload management.
