Job summary

ContainerPort Group is seeking a dedicated Terminal Manager for our Houston terminal. This position leads the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations teams, manages IC driver recruitment, and develops new business while maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.

Emphasis on safety culture, P&L insight, and proactive problem solving. The role requires 5 years of intermodal transportation management and 3 years managing an owner-operator fleet, with a HS diploma at minimum.

Qualifications

• Intermodal transportation management experience required.
• 3+ years managing an owner-operator based fleet.
• HS diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations teams located in the terminal.
• Collaborate with recruiting and driver-experience teams on IC acquisition and retention strategies.
• Develop new business and expand opportunities with current customers through relationship building with key decision makers.
• Coach and foster effective communication and teamwork among Customer Service, fleet, and operations management.
• Uphold Safety Culture as the number one priority and ensure safety inspections and compliance.
• Demonstrate accountability for facility maintenance and safety inspections.
• Apply P&L understanding and perform GP/ NOI/ NI analysis.
• Practice servant leadership and mentoring within the team.
• Show expertise with Electronic Log and HOS requirements.
• Solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment.
