Job summary

Gulf Winds International, Inc. is seeking a Terminal Manager to oversee the Houston terminal operations, including dispatch, driver retention, and cost control. You will work with a cross-functional team to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable terminal performance.

The role requires leadership experience in drayage/logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation or logistics management experience.
• Strong communication and written skills for interfacing with customers and internal teams.
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and execute tasks at a high level.
• Knowledge of transportation industry, logistics, and supply chain, preferably Houston market.
• Familiar with owner-operator model and driver pay/margins.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day terminal operations and execution of the dispatch plan with dispatchers and schedulers.
• Set prioritization for dispatchers throughout the day.
• Collaborate with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service, and Sales to serve drivers and customers.
• Manage margins, costs, and P&L to increase terminal profitability.
• Lead and develop the transportation team and build a succession plan.
