Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest is seeking RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors to teach tennis at local parks and schools. Positions are part-time, hourly, non-exempt, seasonal, and on-call, with pay ranges from $17.50 to $22.50 per hour depending on city and role.

Responsibilities include creating a welcoming, safe learning environment; delivering curriculum; coordinating with parents and partners; and supporting site operations with equipment setup and weather contingencies.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
• Ability to work with children and adults in a teaching setting is preferred.
• Must pass a background check.
• Dependability and strong work ethic required.
• Ability to accept guidance and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment for all participants.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide ongoing instruction and expertise at program sites.
• Ensure equipment set-up and take down; verify equipment safety for use.
• Check attendance and parent sign-off at session conclusion.
• Stay on-site until all participants are picked up by authorized personnel.
• Perform marketing tasks such as hanging flyers and participating in events as needed.
• Programs occur at outdoor and indoor sites and may require attention to weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Director or Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis.
