Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest seeks RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors to operate at local parks, schools, and community centers. This part-time, hourly, non-exempt, seasonal role reports to the Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis.

Pay ranges from $17.50-$22.50 per hour depending on city and job role. Responsibilities include creating a welcoming learning environment, communicating with parents, delivering curriculum, managing equipment, and ensuring safety at sessions across varied sites.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
• Instructors must be 14+ years old; Site Directors must be 18+.
• Experience with children and adults in teaching settings is preferred.
• Dependability, communication skills, and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide ongoing instruction at sites.
• Set up and break down equipment; ensure safety and transport as needed.
• Monitor attendance and secure parent sign-off at session end.
• Remain on-site until all participants are picked up; perform marketing tasks as needed.
• Adapt for outdoor/indoor conditions and follow procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned and represent USTA PNW.
