Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest is seeking RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors to work at local parks, schools, and recreation centers. Roles range from part-time, hourly, seasonal positions to on-call responsibilities, with pay between $17.50 and $22.50 per hour depending on city and role.

These positions report to the Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis and focus on creating a safe, engaging learning environment for diverse participants, delivering curricula, coordinating logistics, and

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
• Instructors can be an employee of any age over 14 generally; Site Director must be 18+.
• Dependability, communication skills, and an excellent work ethic.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work with children and adults in teaching settings.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment for all participants.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide ongoing instruction and expertise at program sites.
• Ensure equipment set-up and take down for each session; ensure equipment is in safe condition to use.
• Check attendance and ensure parent sign-off at session end; stay until participants are picked up.
• Perform marketing tasks as needed (e.g., flyers, events).
• Programs occur at outdoor and indoor sites; may involve extreme weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Director or Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis.
• Represent and support USTA PNW facilities and NetGeneration products and services.
• Follow and implement all USTA PNW procedures and protocols.
