Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest is seeking RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors to run programs in local parks, schools, and recreational centers. Positions are part-time, hourly, and seasonal, reporting to the Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis.

Pay ranges from $17.50 to $26.50 per hour depending on city and role. The roles focus on creating safe, engaging learning environments, delivering curriculum, coordinating site logistics, and representing USTA PNW with parents and communities.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
• Instructors can be an employee of any age over 14; Site Directors must be 18+.
• Experience working with children and adults in a teaching setting is preferred.
• Dependability, communication skills, and an excellent work ethic.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lead and direct participants and transitions.
• Desire to promote and grow the game of tennis.
• Ability to collaborate and take direction.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment for all participants.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide on-going instruction for sites.
• Manage equipment setup and takedown and ensure safety of gear.
• Check attendance and parent sign-off at session end.
• Stay at site until participants are picked up by authorized people.
• Assist with marketing tasks and events as needed.
• Support site operations in varying weather conditions.
