Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest is hiring RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors to deliver engaging tennis programs at local parks and schools. Roles are part-time, hourly, and non-exempt, with pay ranging from $17.50 to $26.50 per hour depending on city and role.

Positions report to the Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis and involve classroom instruction, site management, equipment setup, attendance checks, and coordination with parents and partners. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis preferred.
• Instructors can be 14+; Site Directors must be 18+.
• Experience working with children and adults in teaching settings preferred.
• Dependability, communication, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow guidance and supervision.
• Desire to promote and grow tennis.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment for all participants.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide on-going instruction at program sites.
• Ensure equipment setup and teardown; transport may be required depending on location.
• Check attendance and parent sign-off at session conclusion.
• Stay at site until all participants are picked up by authorized personnel.
• Perform marketing tasks such as hanging flyers and participating in events.
• Programs run outdoors and indoors with possible extreme weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Director or Regional Manager.
• Represent USTA PNW facilities and NetGeneration products and services.
• Follow all USTA PNW procedures and protocols.
