Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest (USTA PNW) seeks RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors to deliver high-quality tennis programs at local parks, schools, and recreational centers across the region. Roles report to the Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis and require reliable, student-centered instruction.

Positions vary by city with pay between $17.00 and $22.00 per hour. If you love tennis and working with families and youth, join a nonprofit leader in expanding access to the game we all enjoy.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
• Instructors can be an employee of any age over 14; Site Director 18+ years.
• Experience working with children and adults in a teaching setting is preferred.
• Dependability, communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment for all participants.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide ongoing instruction at program sites.
• Set up and take down equipment and ensure it is safe to use; transport may be required.
• Check attendance and parent sign-off at session end.
• Stay on-site until all participants are picked up by authorized personnel.
• Assist with marketing tasks as needed.
• Accommodate outdoor and indoor site conditions, including weather impacts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Director or Regional Manager.
