Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest is seeking RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors to deliver engaging tennis programs at local parks, schools and recreation centers. These roles are part-time, hourly, non-exempt, and report to the Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis.

Instructors may be 14+; Site Directors 18+. The organization promotes youth, teens, adults and families and has been recognized as a Top Workplace. Expect flexible scheduling and on-site responsibilities across various locations.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
• Instructors can be 14+; Site Directors 18+.
• Experience with children and adults in teaching settings preferred.
• Dependability, communication skills, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to take guidance and supervision.
• Desire to work with children and be a positive role model.
• Ability to lead activities and transitions for participants.
• Passion to promote and grow tennis.
• Ability to collaborate and take direction.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to work independently and with teams; provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide ongoing instruction at sites.
• Ensure equipment setup, safety, transport when needed.
• Check attendance and obtain parent sign-off.
• Stay at site until participants are picked up.
• Assist with marketing tasks and events.
• Adapt to outdoor/indoor site conditions and weather.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Director or Regional Manager.
• Represent USTA PNW and NetGeneration products and services.
