Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest (USTA PNW) is seeking RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors to run programs at local parks, schools, and recreation centers. This nonprofit organization provides after-school and summer tennis programs and reports to the Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis.

Positions are part-time, hourly, non-exempt, seasonal, and may be on-call. Pay ranges from $17.50 to $22.50 per hour, depending on city and role. Training and safety protocols are emphasized throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
• Instructors can be 14+; Site Director must be 18+.
• Ability to lead and direct participants activities.
• Dependability, communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment for all participants.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide ongoing instruction at sites.
• Set up and take down equipment and ensure safety of gear.
• Revise attendance logs and secure parent sign-off at session end.
• Stay at site until all participants are picked up by authorized persons.
