Job summary

Apple Rehab Inc. is seeking an experienced CNA for a temporary contract in Connecticut. The CNA will provide direct resident care, document diligently, and respond to call lights while supporting multiple nearby facilities.

Flexible shifts and a minimum of 16 hours per week are offered with weekly pay. Requirements include valid Connecticut CNA certification, 2+ years in senior care, PCC proficiency, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in senior care/skilled nursing.
• PCC proficient.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Document accurately and promptly report accidents, injuries, or changes in condition.
• Respond to call lights promptly and assist as needed.
• Work across multiple nearby nursing facilities as required.

This is a non-benefited temporary/seasonal position.

Job Description

The CNA provides direct resident care in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and standards. Responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting with activities of daily living, making beds, turning and repositioning residents, obtaining and recording vital signs, and observing and reporting changes in residents’ conditions.

The CNA is responsible for completing required documentation, promptly reporting accidents, injuries, or changes in condition, and answering call lights regardless of assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut CNA certification in good standing

• Minimum 2 years of experience in senior care/skilled nursing

• PCC proficient

• No history of patient/resident abuse as reported on the State Registry

• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

• Reliable, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team

• Demonstrates patience, professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward residents and their support networks

• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed

Attendance is a MUST. Two call-outs, in accordance with the handbook, are considered a termination of the temporary contract.
