Job summary

Columbia Bank seeks an Universal Operations Specialist I at the Bulls Head location in Staten Island, NY. The role supervises teller operations and supports Universal Banker training, ensuring secure vault operations and accurate handling of deposits.

Responsibilities include scheduling teller staff, reconciling teller sheets, approving certain transactions, assisting in new accounts, and maintaining branch security.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of teller, platform and supervisory experience.
• High school diploma, GED or higher.
• Strong knowledge of banking products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to supervise/lead Teller line and coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises teller operations including direct responsibility of teller portion of Universal Banking training.
• Schedules hours and work assignments for all teller personnel.
• Researches and resolves problems pertaining to teller area.
• Maintains the security of the teller area, negotiable items and the opening and closing of the vault and contents.
• Approves transactions on selected deposit accounts, including verification of signatures and endorsements on withdrawals exceeding teller limits.
• Processes return items and items sent and received for collection.
• Performs all teller activities outlined for the Universal Banker position as required.
• Handles adjustments to accounts and certificates.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
