Columbia Bank is seeking a Universal Operations Specialist I-Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, NY. Supervises teller operations, coordinates the teller portion of Universal Banking training, and helps ensure branch security and goal attainment.

The role supports teller duties, vault handling, and research on items or accounts as needed. Training lasts about 10 business days, with structured onboarding; work schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:30am to close, up to 40 hours, with potential Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years teller, platform and supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED or higher.
• Strong knowledge of banking products and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage time and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Supervises teller operations and schedules hours for teller staff.
• Ensures daily consolidation of teller sheets and office consolidations.
• Maintains teller area security and vault access control.
• Approves certain deposits and withdrawals per limits.
• Processes return items and items for collection; researches issues.
• Performs Universal Banker duties and assists in new accounts.
• Handles account adjustments and night drops as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
