Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking an Universal Operations Specialist I at Broad St., Newark, NJ. The role supports teller operations, supervises teller staff, and ensures daily consolidation and security of teller activities in a full-time capacity.

The position requires 2–4 years of teller and supervisory experience, strong banking knowledge, and solid problem-solving and communication skills. Weekend availability may be required; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of teller, platform and supervisory experience.
• High school diploma, GED or higher.
• Strong knowledge of banking products.
• Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving.
• Accurate attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises teller operations and schedules hours for teller staff.
• Oversees daily teller consolidations and security for teller area.
• Approves transactions on selected deposits and handles accounts appropriately.
• Performs teller activities and supports new accounts area as needed.
• Maintains branch security and assists with vault opening/closing.
