Job summary

Citizens in New York seeks a customer-oriented teller to greet customers in the lobby, demonstrate mobile app usage and ATM transactions, and deliver personalized financial guidance that helps customers reach their goals.

You will educate customers on Citizens products, adhere to cash handling and policy guidelines, and connect clients with Bankers for the next steps. This role offers meaningful work, community engagement, and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience processing transactions (cash and/or digital payments).
• Minimum 1 year of customer service and recommending/referring products and services.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Willingness to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Ability to use digital technology to support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the lobby and demonstrate how to use the Citizens mobile app or ATMs to complete simple transactions.
• Provide personalized financial guidance and connect customers to Bankers for the next step.
• Educate customers on Citizens products and benefits and respond to questions following policies.
• Follow all financial procedures, including cash handling and regulatory requirements.
