Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or active Nurse Residency program in HMH.
• 1 year telemetry or med/surg nursing experience preferred.
• Telemetry/ACLS certification preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability, teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and patient-focused care are required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe and excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-care electronic documentation of assessments, plan of care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family-centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharging of patients for safe transition and continuum of care.
