Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Jersey Shore University Medical Center. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, communicate with the care team, and document assessments and plans to support safe patient outcomes.

The role requires current NJ RN licensure, BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, telemetry, and PACU experience. Expect teamwork, fast learning, and patient-centered care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required.
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• NIH certification required
• Telemetry certification required
• IV certification with adult experience required
• PACU weekend rotation required
• Recent critical care unit nursing experience preferred
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire
• Excellent communication and teamwork are essential

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery.
• Electronic Point-of-Care documentation of assessments, care plans, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health, wellness and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
