Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Jersey Shore University Medical Center team. You will deliver individualized patient care, communicate with the health care team, and utilize barcode scanning and electronic documentation to support safe medication administration and care delivery.

The role requires an active NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and a commitment to ongoing learning; ACLS/NIH certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire is required.
• ACLS, NIH certified preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or active Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency participant.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing care per evidence-based policies and standards.
• Ongoing communication with patients and health care team about status and plans.
• Medication administration using barcode scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharging patients to ensure safe transition and continuity of care.
