Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem day shifts at Jersey City Medical Center. The role emphasizes strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and patient-centered care within a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must hold an active New Jersey RN license (or Multistate with NJ endorsement), and have BLS and ACLS certifications within 6 months of hire. A Bachelor's in Nursing is strongly preferred, with experience in EMR systems such as EPIC.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
- BLS certification and ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
- Administer medications and treatments with clinical judgment; provide hands-on care.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care decisions.
- Educate patients and families to support informed decisions and care plans.
- Document accurately in EMR to ensure continuity of care and safety.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care transitions.
