Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem day shifts at Jersey City Medical Center. The role emphasizes strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and patient-centered care within a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must hold an active New Jersey RN license (or Multistate with NJ endorsement), and have BLS and ACLS certifications within 6 months of hire. A Bachelor's in Nursing is strongly preferred, with experience in EMR systems such as EPIC.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
BLS certification and ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
Administer medications and treatments with clinical judgment; provide hands-on care.
Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care decisions.
Educate patients and families to support informed decisions and care plans.
Document accurately in EMR to ensure continuity of care and safety.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care transitions.
