Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Jersey City Medical Center’s Medical Surgical Unit IV. This full-time night-shift role emphasizes patient assessment, safe medication administration, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.

Qualified candidates hold an NJ RN license, BLS, and preferably a BSN, with at least 1 year of RN experience. EPIC EMR experience is preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands‑on care.
• Partner with physicians and providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve transitions of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team and ongoing professional growth.
